My scavenger hunt has a large file size. Which tools can I use to compress the image files?

To reduce the file size of your scavenger hunt, you can compress the images uploaded in the planning tool. In addition to the uploaded images, the voice messages also affect the file size of your scavenger hunt.

The file size of the scavenger hunt should be kept as small as possible for two reasons:

• Sufficient storage space is required on the device to download the scavenger hunt content.
• If the scavenger hunt participants are not in a Wi-Fi network during the download, this can lead to high data consumption during a scavenger hunt with a high MB size.

Reduce image size via online tool

The easiest and quickest way to do this is to reduce the size of your images online. You can upload your images to the websites listed below and then have them reduced in size according to various criteria. You can then download the resized image again.
