How can I test the scavenger hunt?

To test the scavenger hunt, simply enter the test code in the app (Step 9: Test Mode). You can also use the test code to view a savenger hunt in the app that has not yet been fully created - and all this without having to visit the various locations: For example, test how the images and texts stored in the planning tool will look in the app.

Before the scavenger hunt is published and made accessible to the participants, you should run through the scavenger hunt on site by yourself - use the test code for this purpose:

• Test the scavenger hunt on an iOS and Android device
• Check the route times to the various locations and institutions (is there public transport nearby that the scavenger hunt participants might be able to use to shorten the time needed to get there?)
• Scan and test the QR codes

Where can I find the test code in the planning tool?

The test code is available at the top right of the planning tool next to the "Publish" button. Changes to a scavenger hunt that has already been created have no impact on the test code - the eight-digit number sequence remains unchanged.
