Step 5: Creating stations

In the section "Stations" are the institutions stored which are to be visited by the scavenger hunt participants. It is recommended that you coordinate the details and uploads for a station with the participating organisations so that they know what information about their facility can be accessed in the app and what information the rally participants will shown at the station.

There are two types of stations:

• stations of the main story and
• hidden stations (Step 7: Creating hidden stations).

This article explains how to create stations in the main story. The information you have entered will be saved automatically and you can make changes at any time.

Add stations to the main story

Stations in the main story must be visited by the scavenger hunt-participants in order to successfully complete the scavenger hunt. They usually lead to an institution where the participants meet employees of the institution.

The participating institutions are created using the "Add station" button under "Stations main story".

Create station

The information that is uploaded and entered in this section will appear on the map in the Nebolus app when the respective station is opened. Enter the name and address of the station using the integrated map. Below the map, you will find a field that allows you to define the station radius. This determines the distance from the station at which the QR code scanner is activated for your participants.

1. Click the green button "Choose"

2. Enter the name, address and radius of the station on the map

3. Complete the information about the station

Then describe the task under "Task description" that the participants have to complete at this station. The station image you uploaded under "Station image" appears when the station is opened in the app. For example, an external view of the institution can be used here. If there is a secondary character in your scavenger hunt, upload a voice message from them under "Note". A short text under "Note description" can provide assistance in completing the task. If it is a station where there are no staff members, it could be useful to upload a picture under "Picture of the location" that shows the location of the QR code in more detail.

Nebolus is designed to make it easier for participants in a scavenger hunt to make contact with the institutions visited during the scavenger hunt. To support this and awaken interest in the services offered by an institution, you can enter a corresponding website link for the institution under "Website of station". Here you also have the option of selecting a customised link text, e.g. ‘Find out more’. To ensure that your customised text is displayed in the app instead of the website link, you must place the text in square brackets and directly behind it the website link in round brackets, e.g: [Learn more](https://nebolus.net/]

Under "Station description" you can briefly describe the institution and its services. Finally, in the "Reward" field, upload the message that participants will receive when they have successfully completed the station. This file is typically a voice message from the main character. However, you can also select an image to be displayed to the participants.

Changing the order of the stations

You can easily change the order of the stations at any time by clicking on the three lines to the left of the relevant station, holding the mouse button down and then moving the station.
